Ladies and Gentleman, the Grand Ole Party
They did done doin it again. Our friends from the band Grand Ole Party have been getting a lot of good press recently. Not that we usually post about bands on this site but we couldn’t resist. Not only have these kids been chosen to play a number of shows at SXSW but they also have a page in Interview Magazine this month. To check out the article pick up Interview’s new magazine, it’s the one with Ellen Page on the cover.
EDIT:
They are plastered all over the rags! You can also check out GOP in Nylon this month.
Be Fake Remake

My Family is Better than Your Family

Oh how I love finding sweet jems in Paper Magazine. This months mag featured an article on a new endeavor co-founded by Sammy Harkham over at LA’s own Family bookstore and two other cinematically inclined fellows Hadrian Belove and Dan Harkham. They call her CineFamily. Basically a small group of kids have gotten together and taken over the silent movie theatre over on Fairfax, turning it into a cinematic smorgasbord of stunning tasty treats.
Where the Wild Things Are
Edit:
“that was a very early test with the sole purpose of just getting some footage to Ben our vfx (visual effects) supervisor to see if our vfx plan for the faces would work. The clip doesn’t look or feel anything like the movie, the Wild Thing suit is a very early cringy prototype, and the boy is a friend of ours Griffin who we had used in a Yeah Yeah Yeahs video we shot a few weeks before. We love him, but he is not in the actually film…Oh and that is not a wolf suit, its a lamb suit we bought on the internet. Talk to you later…“
Woody Allen & Larry David!
